They are vibrant fearless explorations, ”lyrical clashes” in paint of the artist’s own passionate inclinations and ecstatic revelations. With a fearless intelligence and uninhibited love for the medium itself, Mr. Stricher indulges in the rich vibrato of its application and sonorous ascendance.

It is hard not to be captivated by Gerard Stricher's work. Since his introduction to the Paris art scene at the Espace Commines in 2007 his works have ignited an international storm. His exuberant impasto laden surfaces are saturated with color. They are dynamic experiential works and a testament to the artist’s own purpose and enthusiastic, somewhat jubilant approach to the medium itself. There is a matured fluidity to his most recent works that emerges through these heavily suffused surfaces.

Born in Sarrenbourg France in 1948, Mr. Stricher made his debut in the United States in a solo exhibition in 2010 in Chicago. His work has been met with resounding enthusiasm since, and may be found in both public and private collections worldwide, including Empire Bank, Springfield Missouri, Pepsi Cola Foundation, NY, and the Foundation Tetra Pak, Lausanne, Switzerland. His work has been exhibited in Chicago, Houston, Vienna, Switzerland, Paris, Nice, Toulouse and Lyon.
