FRANCOISE COLLANDRE

“Collandre lets us feel, see and be filled with emotion. Her inspiration comes from the imagination, memory, dreams and reminiscences. Her work has her traveling through childhood to adolescence, or being pushed towards the future, while sometimes taking the best of the present.” Jacques Icher, philosopher

About Francoise COLLANDRE:

Francoise Collandre was born in 1939 in Paris, where she still resides. Beginning her career as a student at the renowned Ecole Nationale Superieure des Metiers d’Art of Paris, Collandre received immediate recognition and awards.

Francoise expresses her art in images open, soft and never realistic. Her paintings are composed of the softest harmony of colors - evoking a mysterious, romantic, energetic, almost dreamlike quality.

An art critic favorite, Collandre’s work has been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibits throughout Europe.
